About Nageshvara Jyotirlinga#

Nageshvara Jyotirlinga is a Hindu Shiva temple in Gujarat, India, regarded as one of the traditional 12 Jyotirlinga shrines. It is a recognised pilgrimage site for Shaiva worshippers.

The shrine sits close to the western coast of Gujarat and is associated with worship of Shiva in the form of a jyotirlinga. The temple complex is visited for its religious significance and its coastal setting near the Arabian Sea.

The site is part of long-standing Hindu religious tradition and pilgrimage networks; the jyotirlinga status links it to pan-Indian sacred geography. Over time the temple has been maintained and rebuilt in phases by local patrons and communities.

Geographically the temple lies on the Saurashtra coast of Gujarat, in the vicinity of the historic pilgrimage town of Dwarka on India’s west coast.
