How to Get to Náchod
Náchod is reached most practically via Prague (PRG) or Pardubice airports followed by rail or bus into town. Regional trains and intercity buses both serve the Náchod station and local stops; buses may offer more direct connections from some hubs.
Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG): The major international gateway for the region (about 120-140 km west of Náchod). From Prague you can travel by train or bus to Náchod; combined travel time by road or rail is typically 1.5-2.5 hours depending on connections. Airport shuttle to Prague main stations (Hlavní nádraží or Masarykovo nádraží) then onward rail/bus is common.
Pardubice Airport (PED): Closer for some connections (≈60-80 km) but with far fewer scheduled international flights. Ground transfers from Pardubice to Náchod are possible by bus or car and take around 1-1.5 hours.
Train: Náchod has a railway station named Náchod served by Czech Railways (ČD) on regional routes connecting to Hradec Králové and Jaroměř. Trains from Prague require a change (typically at Hradec Králové) and take around 2-2.5 hours; expect regional fares in the low hundreds of CZK.
Bus: Intercity buses run more directly between Prague/Hradec Králové and Náchod; travel times are similar to trains (≈2-2.5 hours) and buses can be a good alternative when rail connections are sparse. Local buses serve nearby villages and the town environs.
