Museum of Flight

The Museum of Flight is a large aerospace museum located at Boeing Field (King County International Airport) in south Seattle. It preserves and displays a substantial collection of historic aircraft and spacecraft and offers educational programming.

Exhibits include a mix of large aircraft displayed in hangar spaces, interactive galleries about flight and space, and the original Boeing “Red Barn” factory building. The museum regularly offers hands-on STEM programs and flight simulators, plus temporary exhibitions that change throughout the year.

Founded as a museum dedicated to aviation history, it has grown its collection and exhibition space over decades to document commercial, military, and spaceflight developments. The site preserves early Boeing history through the Red Barn and other artifacts.

The museum campus sits on the south side of Seattle at Boeing Field, close to the Seattle neighborhoods of Georgetown and Beacon Hill and served by major arterial roads to the city center.

• Space and Educational Galleries: A dedicated gallery and exhibit spaces cover spaceflight, the history of civil and military aviation, and interactive educational displays for families and students.
