The Museu de Belles Arts de València is Valencia’s principal fine arts museum, holding a substantive collection of regional and Spanish paintings and sculptures. It showcases artworks spanning late medieval to 19th-century periods with an emphasis on Valencian artists.

Galleries present religious altarpieces, Baroque and Golden Age paintings, and later 18th- and 19th-century works, alongside sculpture and decorative arts. The museum provides chronological displays that trace local artistic development and includes some international works in its holdings.

The collection was formed from municipal and ecclesiastical holdings and has been curated over time to represent Valencian artistic heritage. The museum occupies historic buildings in the city and has undergone conservation and gallery rearrangements to improve public access.
