Musée de l’Orangerie is an art museum in Paris best known for housing Claude Monet’s series of Water Lilies, displayed in purpose-built oval rooms. The museum also holds a collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings.

• Go at opening or late afternoon to experience Monet's Water Lilies in the quieter hours; the oval rooms are compact and can feel crowded midday.
• Enter from the Jardin des Tuileries side to reach the oval Water Lilies rooms first so you see them before other visitors arrive.
