How to Get to Muncaster Castle #
Take Northern services on the Cumbrian Coast Line to Ravenglass station (regular trains from Barrow-in-Furness, Whitehaven and Carlisle). From Ravenglass station the castle is roughly 1-2 km away (about a 20-30 minute walk) or a few minutes by taxi/car; follow local roads off the A595 to the Muncaster Castle entrance. The Ravenglass & Eskdale heritage railway also operates from Ravenglass in season and provides a scenic connection toward Eskdale.
