Mountain Largest natural elevation in Bahrain's otherwise flat island
A low hill (Jabal ad Dukhan) in southern Bahrain, the Mountain of Smoke is the island’s highest point and draws short walks and local sightseeing.
Known locally as a small rocky hill, this landmark is the highest natural elevation in the island state and stands in the southern administrative division. It is notable for being a low-lying national high point rather than a tall mountain.
The site offers limited panoramic views across the flat surrounding landscape and is typically visited for short excursions rather than multi-hour hikes.
The feature is a natural outcrop within the national terrain and does not contain developed summit facilities.
