Mount Y4dtei is a stratovolcano on Hokkaido, Japan, reaching about 1,898 metres in elevation. The mountain is conical in shape and is a prominent landmark visible from nearby ski and resort areas.

Trails lead to the summit from multiple trailheads and the climb is a popular summer activity, typically undertaken in July and August when routes are snow-free and conditions are most stable. The mountain also forms a scenic backdrop for the Niseko and Rusutsu ski areas and is often visited by photographers and outdoor sports enthusiasts.

Geologically it is a relatively young volcanic cone within Hokkaido’s volcanic landscape. Mount Y4dtei sits near towns such as Kutchan and Niseko in western Hokkaido, within easy reach of regional transport links and resort infrastructure.

  • Nickname and activities: Often called "Ezo Fuji" because of its conical symmetry and resemblance to Mount Fuji; popular for summer hikes and winter backcountry skiing in the surrounding resorts.
