Mount Myohyang

Mount Myohyang (Myohyangsan) is a mountain massif in Chagang Province, North Korea, rising to roughly 1,900 meters and valued for both scenic peaks and cultural sites. It is characterized by steep granite cliffs, forested valleys, and several historic temples.

The area contains well-known cultural attractions including a large state-organized exhibition complex that displays gifts presented to North Korean leaders, alongside historic Buddhist temples that predate modern developments. Trails and paths link scenic viewpoints, temples and the exhibition complex.

The mountain has long been regarded as a scenic and spiritual landscape in the region and is developed for organized visitation from nearby towns. Myohyangsan sits inland in northwestern North Korea within Chagang Province.
