Mount Mahya (Mahya Dağı) is a 1,031 metre peak in Kırklareli Province in northwestern Turkey and the highest point of the Turkish section of the Strandzha/Istranca range.
The mountain offers compact forested slopes and short hiking routes with panoramic views into Bulgaria and across the surrounding lowlands. Trailheads are reached from nearby local roads and the area is used for day hikes and nature observation rather than technical climbing.
Mahya Dağı is a natural high point of the Strandzha massif and has long formed a geographic boundary between Thrace and the Balkan foothills. The mountain and surrounding forests have been used traditionally for grazing, beekeeping, and local forestry.
Located in Kırklareli Province near the Turkey-Bulgaria border, the peak sits in the northwestern extremity of Turkey’s European territory amid rolling forested hills.
