Mount Judi is a mountain in southeast Turkey, in Şırnak Province, that is traditionally associated with the resting place of Noah’s Ark in Islamic and some early Christian traditions. It forms a prominent local landmark in a borderland region of southeastern Anatolia.
The mountain appears in Near Eastern and Islamic historiography and geography as the site where the Ark came to rest; this tradition has shaped local place names and religious practice over many centuries. Modern archaeological confirmation of the tradition has not been established.
Situated in Şırnak Province in southeastern Turkey near the headwaters of the Tigris, Mount Judi sits close to the Turkey-Iraq border region and is part of a rugged landscape of hills and river valleys.
