Mount Fisht is a mountain in the Western Caucasus within the Republic of Adygea, noted for its limestone plateau and rugged alpine relief. It forms part of the Fisht-Oshten massif and is a notable peak in the region.
The massif has been traversed and described by local mountaineers and surveyors since the 19th and 20th centuries as mountain recreation developed in the Russian Caucasus. Local refuges and marked routes support climbing and hiking.
Located in the Western Caucasus, Mount Fisht sits inland from the Black Sea coast within Adygea and is part of a chain of high mountains that dominate the region’s interior.

- Use established routes from the Lagonaki Plateau side and, if you plan to traverse higher ridges, hire a local mountain guide experienced with the limestone karst terrain and sudden weather changes.
- Start very early to avoid afternoon storms common in the Caucasus and check local forecasts before setting out-visibility and conditions can change rapidly at elevation.
