Mount Arvon is the highest natural point in the U.S. state of Michigan, with a summit elevation of 603 meters (1,979 feet). It lies in the Huron Mountains of the Upper Peninsula.
The peak is modest in height and normally visited for the state highpoint rather than long-range views; the summit area is wooded and reached by a short hike from a parking area. A marker at the top denotes the highpoint and is the focal point for visitors.
The summit sits in Baraga County in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, within a largely forested, low-relief mountain area and relatively near the Lake Superior shoreline and small towns such as L’Anse.
