How to Get to Morton Castle #
Morton Castle lies in Dumfriesshire near the village of Thornhill. By car use the A76 through Thornhill and turn onto the local minor roads toward the castle; from Dumfries the drive is roughly 25-35 km depending on route. There is a short walk from the nearest minor road/car park to the ruin (a few hundred metres across country).
