Montjuïc Castle

Montjuïc Castle is an old military fortress on Montjuïc hill in Barcelona, occupying a prominent position about 173 metres above sea level; the structure dates mainly from the 17th to 18th centuries. It has served military, defensive and prison functions across several centuries and is now a public historic site and exhibition space.
