How to Get to Monsalupe
Monsalupe is a small Ávila-area village best reached by road from Ávila or Madrid. Public transport will get you to regional hubs, but onward connections to the village are infrequent, so plan alternative transport for the final section.
Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas (MAD): Madrid is the main international airport; from MAD drive about 1h30-2h to Ávila and then continue to Monsalupe by local roads. Renting a car at the airport is the most flexible option.
Salamanca-Matacán (SLM): Salamanca’s airport is a secondary option for domestic flights; from Matacán you can reach Salamanca city centre in 20-30 minutes, then continue by bus or car toward Ávila-area destinations.
Train: Renfe services run from Madrid (Chamartín) to Ávila (Media Distancia) in roughly 1h30-2h. From Ávila you will need a taxi or local bus to reach Monsalupe.
