How to Get to Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary

Mlilwane lies in the Ezulwini Valley, about 35-45 km from both Mbabane and Manzini by road. The sanctuary is reached via the MR3 and local roads from Ezulwini; many visitors stay at Mlilwane Rest Camp or nearby lodges and arrive by private car or transfer from hotel operators.

Tips for Visiting Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary

  • Visit at first light to catch the sanctuary when dik-diks and reedbuck are most active.
  • Take one of the short guided walks offered by Mlilwane's camp rangers - they are a better value than the longer game drives for close wildlife viewing.
  • Bring a camera with a moderate telephoto; the animals are habituated but still skittish around vehicles.
