Mirabel is part of Greater Montreal but Mirabel International Airport no longer handles scheduled passenger flights. Use Montreal-Trudeau (YUL) for air travel and reach Mirabel by car, shuttle or regional bus.

By Air

Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL): The main passenger airport for the Montreal area; Mirabel is roughly 50-70 km from downtown Montreal depending on route. From YUL to Mirabel or its surrounding areas the trip by taxi or rental car is about 35-50 minutes; taxi fares are typically CAD 60-100 depending on exact Mirabel destination.

Montréal-Mirabel (YMX): Mirabel formerly handled passenger flights but commercial passenger service ceased; YMX is not used for regular scheduled passenger flights. For passenger travel use YUL (Trudeau) or travel via Montreal by ground transport.

By Train & Bus

Train: There is no frequent intercity passenger rail service directly to Mirabel; the nearest commuter and intercity rail services are in Montreal (Central Station). From Montreal you continue by bus, shuttle or taxi to Mirabel.

Bus / Shuttle: Several shuttle and private bus operators provide transfers between Montreal and Mirabel area (including airport-adjacent industrial and residential zones). Local CIT / Exo regional bus services also serve some Mirabel communities; check Exo schedules for exact routes and fares.
