Mindo River Stream

A river that runs through the Mindo valley in Pichincha Province, Ecuador, within the northwestern Andean foothills. It is part of the cloud-forest landscape surrounding the town of Mindo.

The river corridor contains small waterfalls, forested trails, and side streams that are integrated into local ecotourism activities. Nearby lodges and guide services use river access points for short hikes, birdwatching, and viewing cascades.

The watercourse and adjacent forest support regional biodiversity typical of Andean cloud forest ecosystems and form a natural feature around which the town of Mindo’s tourism infrastructure developed.

Located near the town of Mindo in Pichincha Province, the river lies in the western Andean foothills and is accessible from the town’s trail network and roadside vantage points.
