Masyaf Castle is a medieval fortress located in the town of Masyaf in Hama Governorate, western Syria. It is notable as the 12th-century stronghold of the Nizari Ismailis and their leaders.
The castle complex consists of layered defensive walls, towers and an inner citadel built on a rocky hill, with visible masonry repairs from different periods.
