Masherbrum is a prominent high mountain in the Karakoram range in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, rising to 7,821 metres. It is one of the major summits of the region and a landmark for climbers and trekkers.

Alpine climbers visit the mountain for technical ascents and the approaches pass through high glacial valleys and remote mountain settlements such as those in the Hushe area. The peak is visually striking and a focal point for trekking routes in the surrounding valleys.

The peak was one of the Karakoram summits given an early survey designation; it has long been recognised on maps of the range. Over time the area has been used for exploratory climbs and local guiding activity rather than sustained tourism infrastructure.

Masherbrum stands in the Karakoram of Gilgit-Baltistan in northern Pakistan, within the broader high-mountain landscape that includes glaciers and several other seven- and eight-thousand-metre peaks.

  • Height: Rises to 7,821 metres above sea level, making it one of the higher peaks of the Karakoram.
