How to Get to Marausa
Marausa is a small coastal hamlet near Trapani in western Sicily. Most visitors arrive via Trapani-Birgi (TPS) or via Palermo (PMO) and continue by train, regional bus or taxi to Marausa.
Trapani-Birgi (TPS): The closest airport to Marausa is Trapani-Birgi (also called Vincenzo Florio). From the airport you can reach Marausa by local bus to Trapani and a short local bus or taxi hop to Marausa (around 10-20 minutes); taxis are typically the fastest option and often cost in the low teens of euros for this short ride.
Palermo Falcone e Borsellino (PMO): Palermo’s airport is the larger international gateway for western Sicily. From Palermo you can take regional trains or intercity buses to Trapani (journey ~1-1.5 hours) and then a short taxi or local bus to Marausa.
Train: The nearest main railway point is Trapani railway station (Trapani). Regional trains connect Trapani with Palermo and other Sicilian towns; trips to Palermo take roughly 1-1.5 hours on regional services.
