Mannheim Palace is an 18th-century Baroque palace in the city of Mannheim, Germany, originally built as the residence of the Electors of the Palatinate. It is one of the larger Baroque palace complexes in Europe and today houses parts of the University of Mannheim.
The complex presents long formal façades and inner courtyards with baroque architectural detail and ceremonial state rooms. Parts of the palace are in regular use as university buildings while other areas are accessible to visitors by guided tour.
Constructed in the 18th century as the electoral residence, the palace served as a political and ceremonial centre for the Palatinate. Over time it transitioned to civic and educational uses and was adapted to house university faculties.
