Manaraga

Manaraga is a mountain peak in the Polar Ural range within the Komi Republic of northwestern Russia, known for its steep granite slopes and prominent summit. It is one of the notable high points in the northern Urals and is distinct in alpine appearance compared with surrounding terrain.

The peak forms a compact rocky massif with steep faces that attract experienced hikers and mountaineers rather than casual visitors. Routes to the summit are remote and involve long approaches across tundra and mountain terrain.

The mountain sits inside the northern Ural chain and lies within the broader area of protected landscapes in the Komi Republic. It can be reached only after extended travel from the nearest regional centres and is typically visited as part of organized trekking or mountaineering expeditions.

Manaraga is located in the Komi Republic in the Russian North, within the Polar Urals. The area is sparsely populated and characterized by tundra, river valleys and rugged mountain ridges.
