How to Get to Mamurras
Mamurras is best reached by road from Tirana airport or by regional bus from Tirana or Lezhë. Albania's bus/minibus network is the primary public transport option in this area.
Tirana Nënë Tereza (TIA): Tirana Rinas is the primary airport for Mamurras. From TIA you can take a taxi to Mamurras (about 40-60 minutes, €25-€40) or use a combination of shuttle to Tirana and then a regional bus toward Lezhë / Mamurras (~1-1.5 hours total, €3-€7). Private transfers are widely available and more convenient for direct trips.
Kukës / other small airports: There are no major alternate international airports nearby; arrivals via regional Albanian airports typically route through Tirana for onward ground connections.
Train: Albania’s rail network is limited and does not provide reliable passenger service to Mamurras; rail is not a recommended option.
Bus: Intercity buses and minivans run between Tirana, Lezhë and Mamurras; buses from Tirana can take about 40-70 minutes depending on traffic and cost roughly €2-€5. Bus stations in Tirana have frequent departures to the Lezhë region.
