Magura Cave is a large show cave in northwestern Bulgaria, near the village of Rabisha in Vidin Province, known for its prehistoric wall paintings and impressive speleothem formations. The cave has been developed for visitors with walkways and lighting in major chambers.
The cave’s painted panels include anthropomorphic, zoomorphic and geometric motifs created in prehistoric times, attributed to Neolithic and Eneolithic communities and celebrated for their archaeological importance. Magura Cave (Magurata) lies in Vidin Province near the village of Rabisha. Public bus service to Rabisha is limited-most visitors arrive by car or organized tour from Belogradchik or Vidin.
