Maglić (mountain)

Maglić is a prominent mountain in eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina that reaches 2,386 metres and is the country’s highest peak. It forms part of the Dinaric Alps and stands on the international border with Montenegro.

The area is popular with hillwalkers and mountaineers who use established trails to reach the summit and to visit nearby alpine features such as the well-known glacial Trnovačko Lake on the Montenegrin side. The mountain’s steep slopes and rocky ridges provide panoramic views across borderland valleys.
