Lupane is a town in Matabeleland North; travellers reach it by road from Bulawayo (BUQ) or Harare, with Bulawayo the nearer hub. Passenger rail services are not a dependable option-coaches and kombis are the standard public transport modes.
Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport (BUQ): Bulawayo’s airport is the nearest major international airport for Lupane and Matabeleland North. From Bulawayo you travel by road-private transfers or long-distance minibuses connect Bulawayo with Lupane; expect several hours on the road depending on route and stops.
Harare (HRE) gateway: Harare is another national gateway but much further from Lupane-overland routes from Harare involve a long multi-hour drive or coach connection via Bulawayo.
