Stará Ľubovňa is about 30 km north of Poprad. From Poprad take regional road 66 toward Stará Ľubovňa; the castle sits above the town centre and is a 10-15 minute uphill walk from the main square. Regular trains and buses run to Stará Ľubovňa station; from there it is a 20-25 minute walk or a short local taxi ride up to the castle hill.
