Los Rastrojos (Lara) is best reached via Barquisimeto (BRM) by road. Air travel into Barquisimeto followed by a taxi or regional bus is the usual approach; rail connections are not a practical option.

By Air

Jacinto Lara International Airport, Barquisimeto (BRM): Barquisimeto is the main airport serving Lara state. If you are heading to Los Rastrojos (Lara) the typical approach is to fly into Barquisimeto and continue by road-the drive time depends on the exact locality within Lara and can range from 30 minutes to a couple of hours.

Other regional airports: Depending on routes and airline schedules, visitors might arrive via Valencia or Caracas and then travel overland to Lara by bus or private transfer.

By Train & Bus

Train: Venezuela’s passenger rail services are limited and do not serve most rural localities; do not rely on rail for reaching Los Rastrojos.
