Los Pedroches Plateau

Los Pedroches is a comarca (rural district) in the northern part of Córdoba province in Andalusia, Spain, defined by a rolling agricultural landscape of pasture woodlands and farms. The area is known for expansive open oak pastures - a mosaic of trees and grazing land used for extensive livestock husbandry.

The landscape supports traditional agro-sylvo-pastoral systems, including acorn production and rearing of pigs linked to regional cured-meat products. Small towns and market centres provide services for farming communities and act as bases for exploring the rural landscape.

Geographically the comarca lies in northern Córdoba province; the terrain is predominantly low hills and plains rather than high mountains, and connectivity is by regional roads linking the towns to larger Andalusian cities.
