Loch Insh is a freshwater loch in the Badenoch area of the Scottish Highlands, close to the village of Insh. It functions as a local focus for watersports and aquatic recreation in the Spey valley.

How to Get to Loch Insh #
Located near Kingussie and the village of Insh; access is via the B970 and local roads. The loch is a short drive from Kingussie (10-15 minutes) with parking near the Inshriach watersports areas.

- The village of Insh (2 km) provides the easiest access and facilities; consider renting gear for kayaking or SUP from Insh Adventures.
- Visit early morning for still water; if the wind picks up the loch can be choppy for small craft.
- Look for redshank and other wading birds on the loch margins-good binoculars reveal more than a camera.
