Livrustkammaren

Livrustkammaren, the Royal Armoury, is a museum in central Stockholm that holds historical arms, armour, royal costumes and court objects associated with Sweden’s monarchy. It originated in the early 17th century and is among the country’s oldest museum institutions.

The collection covers centuries of royal material culture including ceremonial garments, armour and items used in state occasions. Exhibits present both military and courtly objects and illustrate changes in royal dress and equipment over time.
