How to Get to Lib

Lib Island is an outer island of the Marshall Islands normally reached from Majuro (Amata Kabua International Airport, MAJ). Travel onward from Majuro requires domestic air or boat services when available-book and confirm connections in advance.

By Air

Amata Kabua International Airport (MAJ): Majuro’s MAJ is the main international airport for the Marshall Islands. From MAJ to downtown Majuro taxis and island shuttles take about 10-15 minutes; have cash (USD commonly accepted).

No regular international flights to Lib Island: Lib is a small outer island; scheduled international flights do not operate there. Access is by domestic flight (when served) or by boat charter from Majuro-availability is limited and must be booked locally.

By Train & Bus

Train: There are no rail services in the Marshall Islands.

Bus & Boat: There is no fixed inter-atoll bus network. Domestic aircraft (Air Marshall Islands) and private/cargo boats are the primary ways to reach outer islands; schedules vary by season and demand. Within Majuro, taxis and shuttles serve the needs of travelers.
