The falls are notable for their twin streams that converge and for the close viewpoints provided by the old road bridge and adjacent platforms. Short walks from parking areas allow visitors to view and photograph the cascades from several angles.

The falls have long been a local landmark and the road bridge adjacent to the cascade was part of regional transport infrastructure that made the site readily accessible to travellers. The area is now a common stop on scenic drives.

Located in Vestland county in western Norway, the falls sit alongside a main regional road and are visited by travellers moving between nearby towns and fjord valleys.
