Lang Park, commonly known by its commercial name Suncorp Stadium, is a major rectangular sports stadium in the Brisbane suburb of Milton, Queensland, Australia. The current stadium bowl and facilities were rebuilt and reopened in 2003 and host national- and international-level sporting events.

The site has been used for organised sport for more than a century under the name Lang Park, with multiple redevelopments culminating in the early-2000s reconstruction that created the current stadium structure and modern amenities. Since reopening it has served as Queensland’s principal major-event rectangular stadium.

Lang Park sits in Milton, about two kilometres west of Brisbane’s central business district, with public transport connections and nearby parking serving event crowds.

  • Capacity and uses: Seating capacity is approximately 52,500 and the venue is configured primarily for rugby league, rugby union and association football, with an enclosed bowl and roofed stands over most seating.

How to Get to Lang Park #

Lang Park (commonly known as Suncorp Stadium) is in the Milton suburb of Brisbane, immediately west of the CBD. Take Queensland Rail City network trains to Milton station - the station is adjacent to the stadium and is a short walk (about 100-300 metres) to the main entrances. From Brisbane CBD it’s roughly 1-2 km west along Coronation Drive/Milton Road by car or taxi; local buses and pedestrian routes also serve the stadium precinct.

Tips for Visiting Lang Park #

  • Arrive by public transport (Milton train station is a short walk from the stadium) rather than driving-event-day road closures and parking are often heavily congested.
  • Get to the stadium early to avoid long queues and to enjoy pre-game atmosphere at nearby bars and fan zones; leaving right at full-time can create heavy congestion, so plan a short delay to ease your exit.
  • Check the event organiser's travel and bag policies in advance (Suncorp/Lang Park enforces security and prohibited items), and follow the stadium signage to the gate printed on your ticket to speed entry.
