Lambir Hills National Park is a protected area in Sarawak, Malaysian Borneo, recognized for lowland tropical rainforest and biodiversity. It is one of Sarawak’s better-known forest reserves for short hikes and nature study.
Established to conserve representative lowland rainforest in Sarawak, the park has been managed for both conservation and scientific research since its designation as a protected area.
Located in northern Sarawak, the park lies inland from the coastal city of Miri and is reached from regional roads serving the Miri area.

How to Get to Lambir Hills National Park #
Lambir Hills National Park is about 30-40 km southwest of Miri city in Sarawak. Drive from Miri along the Pan Borneo Highway and follow local signage; some organized tours run from Miri. The nearest airport is Miri (MYY). Park entry and guides are arranged at the park office.

- Hire a park guide for trail navigation-the rainforest interior has unmarked jungle paths and the guides know where the primary canopy and waterfall sites are.
- Arrive early to avoid mid-day heat and to catch more wildlife activity; bring insect repellent for the forest interior.
- Wear shoes with good grip-the boardwalks and trails can be muddy and slippery after rain.
