Lalitha Mahal is a palace in Mysore, Karnataka, built in 1921 by the ruling Wodeyar family as a residence for visiting dignitaries and state guests. It is one of the larger and more formal palaces in the city and is distinguished by its European-influenced architectural style.
The building displays Italian Renaissance and neoclassical influences with a prominent domed central hall and formal colonnaded facades. It was constructed to host high-ranking visitors and state functions and remains a landmark example of early 20th-century royal architecture in Mysore.
Today the palace functions as a heritage hotel and preserves many of its principal public rooms and grand staircases, allowing guests and day visitors to experience its principal interiors and gardens.
