Lake Superior Railroad Museum

The Lake Superior Railroad Museum is a railway museum located in Duluth, Minnesota, housed in the historic Duluth Depot. It preserves and interprets regional railroad equipment and history and supports excursion train operations.

Exhibits include restored locomotives, passenger cars and interpretive displays about Upper Midwest railroading. The site also functions as the ticketing and boarding point for seasonal scenic excursions operated by the North Shore Scenic Railroad.

Railroad facilities at the Duluth Depot date to the era of large passenger terminals serving the Lake Superior port; the museum was later established to preserve equipment and the depot’s rail heritage and to operate public excursions.
