Lake Ogawara Lake

Lake Ogawara is a coastal, brackish lake on the Pacific side of Aomori Prefecture in northern Honshu, Japan. It lies near coastal towns in the prefecture and supports fisheries and wetland habitats.

The lake’s shallow areas and reedbeds are important for local fisheries and birdlife, and it is used by surrounding communities for fishing and reed harvest. Recreational activities include birdwatching and shoreline walking, with roads and settlements along parts of the shore.

Lake Ogawara occupies a coastal plain setting in eastern Aomori Prefecture and is integrated with the regional coastal and estuarine landscape.
