Lake Muhazi is a lake in Eastern Province, Rwanda, at latitude -1.8722 and longitude 30.3574. It lies within eastern Rwanda and is one of the country’s notable inland lakes.

This is a regionally known lake used for local recreation and transport; people visit for short boat trips and shoreline activities rather than large-scale tourism. Facilities and services around the lake are provided at a local level rather than as major tourist infrastructure.

The lake is a natural freshwater body long used by local communities for fishing and transport; its use has continued into the modern period with local development along its shores. There is no single founding date since it is a natural feature rather than a constructed reservoir.
