Lake Kahala is a natural freshwater lake in Harju County, Estonia, located at approximately 59.48 N, 25.53444 E. It is a small inland lake within northern Estonia’s lake landscape.
Shoreline access is typically local in scale - the area is used for low-intensity outdoor activities such as walking, birdwatching and local fishing. There are no widely known developed tourist facilities on the lake.
The lake is a natural feature of the regional landscape and was formed as part of the postglacial lake system common to northern Estonia. Its basin and shoreline have remained largely unchanged in modern times, with surrounding land used for forestry and small-scale agriculture.
