Lake Abant National Park centers on Lake Abant, a mountain lake in Bolu Province, Turkey, set within fir and beech forest and protected as a national park. The site is valued for its intact forest, lakeside scenery and short walking routes.

A well-maintained ring of trails and picnic clearings around the lake provides easy walking and viewpoints; shorter circuits are suitable for family visits while longer routes extend into adjoining forest. The park was designated to protect the lake and the surrounding montane forest and is managed to support low-impact recreation and nature conservation. Facilities are concentrated near the lake shore and the park entrance.

Lake Abant is in Bolu Province, accessible by car from the D650 main road (Bolu-Abant route). From Bolu city center it’s roughly a 35-45 minute drive. Coaches and regional minibuses run from Ankara and Istanbul to Bolu, with onward local transport or taxis to the park.
