Lago di Cavazzo (also called Lago di Cavazzo Carnico) is a natural lake in the province of Udine, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, in northeastern Italy, and is the largest natural lake in the region.
Visitors come for shoreline walks, local boating and birdwatching; the lake is lined by reedbeds and small beaches in places and is integrated with neighbouring villages for local recreation.
The basin is of natural origin and has been part of local settlement and land use for centuries, with small villages on its shores and traditional uses such as fishing.
The lake lies at the foot of the Carnic Alps near the village of Cavazzo Carnico in the Udine province, set within the valley landscape of northeastern Friuli.
