Lafia is reached mainly by road from Abuja (the nearest major airport). There are no regular commercial flights into Lafia itself, so plan road transfers from Abuja or nearby regional centres.
Abuja - Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (ABV): Abuja is the nearest major airport for Lafia. Road transfers from Abuja to Lafia take about 2-3 hours by car depending on traffic.
Markurdi / local airstrips: There are no regular commercial flights into Lafia itself; travellers use Abuja for scheduled air connections and continue overland to Lafia.
Train: Nigeria’s national passenger rail services do not currently provide regular trains to Lafia.
