Kuskovo

Kuskovo is an 18th-century country estate on the eastern side of Moscow that was the summer residence of the Sheremetev noble family and is now preserved as a museum complex.

The ensemble includes a central palace, formal gardens and an extensive park with ponds and avenues, reflecting aristocratic landscape and architectural trends of the period. The site historically hosted theatrical performances and outdoor entertainments connected to the estate.

Major buildings and park layouts date from the mid to late 18th century and the estate survived into the 19th century before later becoming state property and a public museum following the revolutionary period.

Kuskovo lies to the east of central Moscow within the city’s administrative area and is reachable by road and public transport from the centre.
