How to Get to Kulhudhuffushi
Kulhudhuffushi is reached via Velana International Airport (MLE) near Malé, then onward by domestic flight, seaplane/speedboat or public ferry. For northern atolls travelers typically fly with Maldivian or take a speedboat transfer from a regional domestic airport or transfer hub.
Velana International Airport (MLE): Velana is the Maldives’ main international gateway (near Malé/Hulhumalé). From Velana you reach the northern atolls by domestic flight (Maldivian) or by a combination of speedboat/ferry; domestic flights to the northern atolls typically take 45-90 minutes and one-way fares commonly run from about USD 80-200 depending on season and route.
Domestic connections (Maldivian / seaplane / speedboat): Kulhudhuffushi is reached from Malé via scheduled domestic flights or by a longer sea transfer. Scheduled domestic flights to northern hubs (Hanimaadhoo / nearby domestic airports) take under 90 minutes; shared speedboat or private speedboat legs from the airport or transfer hub to Kulhudhuffushi range from about USD 15-80 (shorter shared boats) to several hundred USD for private charters.
Train: There is no passenger train service in the Maldives.
