Kruszyniany Mosque

Kruszyniany Mosque is a wooden mosque in the village of Kruszyniany in Podlaskie Voivodeship, north-eastern Poland, associated with the Lipka Tatar community. The mosque dates from the early modern period and is one of the best-known surviving Tatar religious sites in Poland.

The site comprises a simple timber prayer hall and an adjacent Tatar cemetery. The architecture and village layout reflect the Tatar settlement and are the main reasons people visit - for religious heritage, traditional wooden construction, and the cemetery’s historic grave markers.

The mosque was established by the Lipka Tatars who settled in the Polish-Lithuanian region from the 17th century onward and has served the local Muslim community since that period. Over time the site has remained a focal point for the Tatar minority in the area.

Kruszyniany lies in north-eastern Poland close to the Belarus border within Podlaskie Voivodeship; the mosque sits in the rural village that gives the site its name.
