How to Get to Kranjska Gora
Kranjska Gora is a mountain resort best reached by airport shuttle to Ljubljana and then by bus or private transfer, or by rail to Jesenice followed by a short bus. For flexibility and luggage, private transfers or a rental car work well.
Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (LJU): Ljubljana is the main airport for journeys to Kranjska Gora. From LJU take a shuttle or bus to Ljubljana city (about 25-30 minutes, modest fare) and then an intercity bus to Kranjska Gora (around 1.5-2.5 hours depending on route and stops, fares typically €10-€20). Private transfers and car hire are popular for the final mountain leg.
Trieste (TRS) / Klagenfurt (KLU): Airports in nearby Italy/Austria can be used; from Trieste or Klagenfurt expect a longer overland transfer (1.5-3 hours) by car or bus depending on border crossings and connections.
Train: Trains run to Jesenice, the nearest significant railhead (served from Ljubljana and Austrian lines). From Jesenice you take a bus to Kranjska Gora (about 30-45 minutes).
Bus: Direct buses link Ljubljana and Jesenice with Kranjska Gora; buses are frequent during ski season and summer. Bus travel times from Ljubljana are commonly around 1.5-2.5 hours depending on service and route.

Kranjska Gora is pedestrian-friendly in its compact centre; most hotels, shops and lifts are within easy walking distance. Regional buses connect Kranjska Gora with Jesenice, Bled and other towns; the train station is in nearby Podkoren/Jesenice area. In winter ski shuttles and local buses are frequent.
