Kotor Cathedral, formally the Cathedral of Saint Tryphon, is the Roman Catholic cathedral at the heart of Kotor’s Old Town and was consecrated in 1166. It is one of the principal medieval monuments in the Bay of Kotor.
The building displays Romanesque and later architectural features and contains a diocesan treasury with liturgical objects and relics, including items associated with Saint Tryphon. The cathedral has been repaired and altered repeatedly after earthquake damage over the centuries.
The cathedral stands inside Kotor’s walled historic centre on the Bay of Kotor and is a common stop on guided walking routes of the Old Town.

Kotor is well served by regional buses from nearby coastal towns (Budva, Tivat) and by car; Tivat Airport is about 8 km away (roughly a 15-20 minute drive) and Dubrovnik is approximately 90 km by road (about 1.5-2 hours depending on border crossings and traffic).
